’.
The actor announced the news recently on his social media and wrote, “Happy to share that @RuksharDhillon plays the female lead in ABCD. Hello & welcome onboard Rukshar! #ABCDTelugu.” (sic) Rukshar replied to that with, “Thanks a ton @AlluSirish. I’m sure it’s going to be a great journey and can’t wait to start off! Looking forward to working with you and the whole crew.” (sic)
The Malayalam film ABCD (American-Born Confused Desi) had Dulquer Salmaan play the role of an NRI son of a billionaire father, who’s forced to stay back in India with his equally spoilt cousin to gain a reality check. The original that was directed by Martin Prakkat of ‘Charlie’ fame had received mixed reactions from critics despite the fun content. Now, the remake will be directed by debutant Sanjeev Reddy.
