The romance between Sai Pallavi and Sharwanand in Padi Padi... is as real as it gets
From its trailers,
Sai Pallavi plays this young lady who is almost impossible to woo, while Sharwanand plays a young man who is willing to move heaven and earth to win her affections. “It’s a love story that will both surprise the audience as much as it will move them. The chemistry between Sai Pallavi and Sharwanand is something you will need to see to believe. And Vishal Chandrasekhar’s music and lyrics by KK add magic to the proceedings,” says Sudhakar.
For Hanu though, the most magical part of shooting the film was capturing the beauty of the City of Joy. “I had gone to Kolkata for six months back in 2007 when I was an AD, and fell in love with every nook and corner of the place. When you tell a love story, the ambience matters. And when they talk of love, they talk of Paris. But for me, Kolkata it is,” says Hanu, adding, “We mostly shot outdoors. In Kolkata alone, we filmed for 75 days and then shot in minus degrees temperatures in the snow for a song set in Nepal. It wasn’t easy, but definitely worth it.”
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas, Padi Padi Leche Manasu releases today.
Padi Padi Leche Manasu
promises to be an intense love story that plays out amidst hauntingly beautiful backdrops of the streets of Kolkata and the snow-capped peaks of Nepal. The director-producer duo of Hanu Raghavapudi and Sudhakar Cherukuri have no doubt whatsoever that the film will tug at the heart strings of audience. “It’s a endearing tale of love that develops between two individuals with contrasting ideologies. But trust me there is nothing cliched about the romance in the film. The emotions
will be as real as they get,” says Hanu, adding, “I wasn’t looking to cast actors who can play those characters, but wanted individuals who could live them on screen. And Sharwanand and Sai Pallavi did just that. You will know when you see them on the screen.”For Hanu though, the most magical part of shooting the film was capturing the beauty of the City of Joy. “I had gone to Kolkata for six months back in 2007 when I was an AD, and fell in love with every nook and corner of the place.
