The first single from Sukumar’s Allu Arjun,
Rashmika Mandanna and
Fahadh Faasil starrer Pushpa, called Daakko Daakko Meka in Telugu, released recently.
The number has now reportedly raked in a whopping 25 million views collectively in all languages within 2 days of release. Despite the massive views, the number has received mixed response from Allu Arjun’s fans who are used to a different kind of sound from the actor’s films.
Daakko Daakko Meka saw Allu Arjun in a fierce, never-before-soon rugged look.
Music composer
Devi Sri Prasad composed the song which saw vocals by Shivam in Telugu and
Vishal Dadlani,
Vijay Prakash,
Rahul Nambiar and Benny Dayal in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil. The makers now claim the number as ‘most liked and viewed’ South-Indian song. Sharing the news, they wrote, “It's an AAll Time Record. #DaakkoDaakkoMeka is the Most Viewed South Indian & Most Liked Tollywood Lyrical. (sic)”
Pushpa will hit screens in five major languages across the country. The first part, titled Pushpa: The Rise will hit screens this Christmas followed by a second part later on. Allu Arjun plays the role of a coolie turned red sanders smuggler called Pushpa Raj from Rayalaseema.
