Ra Ra

(Roar of the Revengers) opens the album on an upbeat note. With vocals by Prudhvi Chandra and Bashermax, this one has some bada*s lyrics that might come as a war cry for anyone who wants to get ahead in life. The rawness in Prudhvi and Bashermax’s vocals lift this song making it a sure winner.

The popular

Hoyna Hoyna

with vocals and additional lyrics by Inno Genga, is a sweet and breezy number. Ananta Sriram yet again nails this one with some poetic lyrics and Inno Genga’s vocals adds all the necessary zing to make this one a sure shot hit. Even the little rap portion, which kicks in midway into the number, doesn’t sound misplaced unlike in most Telugu numbers of today.

The next song, Ninnu Chuse Anandamlo, is a romantic number sung by the ever-dependable Sid Sriram. Ananta Sriram, yet again, was spot on with lyrics that speak of the first flush of love and Sid Sriram does the rest — bring in the right amount of emotions to the song. But it is Anirudh’s music that stands out in this one. By fusing Hindustani classical music with EDM elements, he added a different touch to this song unlike the typical Tollywood romantic numbers.

Last on the album is the promotional song

Gang-U Leader

that sells the film to movie buffs in a super-fun manner. Ananta Sriram’s fun lyrics and Anirudh’s apt vocals make this one a clear winner. Anirudh’s music in this one is a heady mix of mass and class that will resonate with audiophiles.

In a nutshell, the OST of Gang Leader is a clear winner. The vocalists did a good job to keep up with the lyricist and music composer’s vibe, making the OST a fun listen. Give this one a listen this weekend, especially the songs Ra Ra and Hoyna Hoyna, and you might just end up finding your next favourite numbers.
