The team of Arupu come together for another single called Nagali/Naagali, which released on Friday, right before Independence Day.

Rapper

Roll Rida

released a 5-minute-48-seconds long

music video

penned and performed by him, which sees music composed by

Pravin Lakkaraju

, directed by Harikanth Gunamagari and shot by Edurolu Raju. The video sees his Bigg Boss Telugu 2 housemate and friend Amit Tiwari play the role of a

farmer

who’s effected by drought and neglected to his fate by those around him. The music video’s lush visuals see him turn into a raging God by the end of it. It also shows explicitly, how many farmers in the country, especially in 2011 alone, killed themselves to escape the misery.

The lyrics and flow by Roll Rida makes this number a heart-touching one, so does the music by Pravin. With lyrics detailing how even the rope used to put up a swing begins to look like a noose around the neck for farmers, the number is manages to get its message through. Talking to Hyderabad Times before the single’s release, Roll Rida had said, “Nagali is an idea where I ask the question – what if the farmers we take for granted get angry at us and revolt back, what would the world look like then? It was Harikanth’s idea to show the farmer like this, because a God has the power to create and punish both. He brought a whole new perspective to the video.” Roll Rida has also shared the lyrics of the number under the video.
