Venkatesh Top multi-starrer films of the great actor

At one point of time in his career, Venkatesh scored some consecutive hits which were admired by scores of fans. This is why he is popularly called as ‘Victory Venkatesh’ by his fans. After playing a wide variety of roles, the 57-year-old actor has found himself in multi-starrer films, which have always been money spinners and a delight to the audience. He has shared screen space with other Tollywood stars in three films so far and is going to team up with some other stars in a few more films. ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, which released in 2013, brought together two of the greatest Tollywood actors, Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu for the first time on the silver screen and masterfully adapted their capacious talents. Directed by Addala Srikanth, this multi-starrer traces the story of two morally stubborn brothers, opposing their ways of lives. Starring a mega cast of Samantha, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Abhinaya, Rao Ramesh, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rohini Hattangadi, Tanikella Bharani, Ravi Babu, Murali Mohan and Tejaswi Madivada, the film was one of the biggest hits of the year.

K Vijay Bhaskar Reddy is the pioneer of helming family and emotional entertainers, but this film was different. The 2013 disaster film is a pure confused comedy Telugu film, with director striking the wrong chords of family, sentiment, and comedy. Although Vijay Bhaskar is a quirky director, this film is not a worth watch. Starring Venkatesh, Ram Pothineni, Anjali, Shazahn Padamsee, Jaya Prakash Reddy, MS Narayana, and Posani Krishna Murali, the film was laid down by its uneven screenplay and regular commercial plot. However, it's a treat to watch the duo on the screen.

This time Venky teamed up with Power star Pawan Kalyan for the devotional satirical drama ‘Gopala Gopala’, the official remake of Hindi film ‘OMG – Oh My God!’. Even though the film has been overly criticised and mocked, ‘Gopala Gopala’ is arguably one of the most important films of Tollywood. The multi-starrer film struck the chords in all the right ways possible – iconic characters, quotable dialogues, wistful sequences and good music. Director Kishore Kumar Pardasani quite ably crafted this masterpiece.

Venkatesh and Varun Tej are working together for a rom-com titled ‘F2-Fun & Frustration’ to be directed by Anil Ravipudi. The project was announced a few months ago and the regular shooting has begun recently in Hyderabad. With the stars of the big leagues Venky, Varun, Tamannaah Bhatia, Mehreen Pirzada, the film holds a massive buzz among upcoming Tollywood films of the year. Moreover, Dil Raju is the producer of the film. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped to compose music for the film, is expected to release in the year-end.

It’s been three years since its release, and there is no remake film which could boast of such a thunderstorm hit. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, ‘Premam’ chronicles the phase of a guy’s life. Venky has appeared in a guest role in the film. The duo will work together again in KS Ravindra's directorial film, tentatively titled, ‘Venky Mama’. Huma Qureshi and Rakul Preet Singh are in talks to play the leading ladies in the film. The film is backed by Suresh Babu and Kona Venkat. As per the reports, the duo will be seen playing uncle and nephew on-screen.
