Marvellous images captured by the Hubble Space Telescope

The Hubble Space Telescope is mainly a large astronomical observatory that was launched on April 24, 1990, and has provided a series of beautiful and wide-ranging images of space, capturing galaxies and comets.

What is Hubble Space Telescope?

The Hubble Space Telescope is a large space telescope orbiting Earth. The telescope captures pictures of our universe to help scientists on Earth understand it better. It was launched into orbit by space shuttle Discovery on April 24, 1990. Hubble orbits about 332 miles above Earth. It travels about 5 miles per second. (Image: NASA)

What's more?

Orbiting 326 miles (525 km) above Earth’s surface, Hubble avoids the distorting effects of our atmosphere, enabling its clear vision of the cosmos. In a statement, John Grunsfeld, Hubble servicing mission astronaut and astronomer once said, "Hubble is not just a satellite. It’s a symbol of humanity’s quest for knowledge." Hubble has made more than 1.5 million observations over the course of its lifetime. Over 20,000 peer-reviewed science papers have been published on its discoveries, and every current astronomy textbook includes contributions from the observatory. (Image: NASA)

The Butterfly Nebula

This picture showcases what mainly happens to a star at the end of its life cycle and was captured by Jason Kalirai, capturing the dust particles and the gas after the breaking of the star.

The tadpole galaxy

Disrupted by collisions and happening to have bursts of star formation coming out of its tail, the tadpole galaxy looked stunning and was captured by John Grunsfled.

The star cluster

Captured by Antonella Nota, stellar clusters are a scene to look at as you will be able to witness the original gas and dust and look at a space where stars are born with a large assembly of stars aligned together.

The stunning galaxy

A barred spiral galaxy with stunning colors amid the black space looked beautiful as you could see brown vein-like structures passing by and bringing out the charm of the photo taken by Zoltan Levay.

The protoplanetary

The protoplanetary disks seen in the Orion Nebula were taken by Edward Weiler and captured intriguing-looking structures that look like life in the universe, with small comets having interesting lights.

The mice galaxy

Taken by Jennifer Lotz, in this image, you can see two beautiful, shining galaxies interacting with each other, and looking like they are running behind each other, creating an aura of beautiful light.

The Helix Nebula

By Robert O’Dell, the shells by the dead stars, when expelled showcased stunning rays and colors upon their blast, with an interesting medium coming out of the ray but with a condensed range.

The Eagle Nebula

This image was captured by Jennifer Wiseman, in which you can see columns of gas signifying a region where the stars have formed a beautiful background.
