Diwali, a festival symbolising the triumph of good over evil, marks the end of the year. In India, numerous employers wish to express their appreciation for their employees' hard work by gifting them a variety of valuable tokens. These offerings can range from luggage bags and customised company watches to even gifting fully-fledged cars to employees. Royal Enfield bikes

The owner of a tea estate in Tamil Nadu's Kotagiri town made a generous and unexpected gesture by gifting his employees Royal Enfield bikes as a Diwali bonus this year. He surprised them with bikes worth over Rs 2 lakh each. A video of Sivakumar riding with his staff on their new motorcycles has gone viral on the internet. The employees expressed their gratitude for this unexpected gift.

Holiday packages

Many companies offer their employees generous holiday packages that may include international tours. In 2020, the Finance department under Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, just before Diwali, provided its employees with a festival package that included a leave travel allowance in addition to Rs 10,000 in cash.

Cryptocurrencies

In 2021, Totality Corp, a gaming company, celebrated Diwali by gifting cryptocurrencies to its employees. Despite the digital currency's inherent volatility, it is considered the "digital gold" of the future, making it a unique and valuable gift choice.

Expensive cars

Savji Dholakia, the founder of Hari Krishna Exports, in 2018, gifted three of his long-serving employees with Mercedes Benz SUVs, each worth 1 crore, during the Diwali festivities, as a token of appreciation for their 25 years of dedicated service.

Residential spaces

Before 2018, Savji Dholakia, owner of Hare Krishna Exports, also gifted 400 flats and 1,260 cars as Diwali bonuses to his employees. The company will bear the loan installments on the flats and the cars for five years.

Scooters and bikes

On the occasion of Diwali in 2021, the Alliance Group, in Surat gifted its employees electric scooters valued at Rs 76,848. The company's management cited the rising fuel costs and other factors as the motivation behind this thoughtful gesture.
