Explained: Our universe is merging with a baby universe

How merging can cause the expansion of the universe

In recent discoveries, scientists have witnessed the expansion of our universe, which is happening at an accelerating rate. Our universe is expanding with an understated process that is yet to be processed, but scientists believe that this elusive substance is called ‘dark energy’ and is responsible for driving the expansion rigorously. Merging with ‘baby universes’

The very existence of dark matter is the only thing discussed in the expansion of the universe, whereas the causes behind it are yet to be discovered. The expansion is, however, driven by merging with small or baby universes. This accelerated expansion of the universe is caused by a known-to-be dark energy, which might have a subtle explanation with a mathematical model to fit in the bracket trying to understand the standard cosmological model.

3/6

What is the cosmological model?

The Standard Cosmological Model is known to be the main theory of cosmic evolution that the universe began with the Big Bang. It went through near-exponential inflation and, since then, has been expanding. The latest study of the model is just a mere proposal to get an idea behind the expansion mystery.

4/6

What is the baby universe theory?

A new theoretical study suggested that our universe is expanding because it keeps colliding with the absorbing baby parallel universes present in the galaxy. There have been studies of the cosmic microwave background, the afterglow of the Big Bang that have revealed that our universe is experiencing this expansion at an accelerated pace.

5/6

How old is the baby universe?

The baby picture available to some researchers suggests that the universe is around 13.8 billion years old. Therefore, if the local measurements are to be true, then it could be as young as around 11.4 billion years old.

6/6

Is the multiverse real?

It can be considered a conjecture and is an untestable measure. Scientists dictate that ideas have to be runned down with the possibility that they can be proven to be true or false, but as of now, no such test exists proving the existence of multiverses, as they are only scientific conjectures and not reality.

They cannot be called universes. They are galaxies. Our Milky Way is a galaxy. A colliding galaxy is merging with the Milky Way. That can have unprecedented effect on earth . And our solar system within the Milky WAY.
