He made me cry’: 4-year-old’s Dettol ad performance wins hearts; parents credit SRK for his acting skills
A four-year-old from Delhi is getting a lot of attention online, and it’s easy to see why. Avyaan, a young child actor, has left viewers emotional with his performance in a recent Dettol advertisement. What might seem like a regular ad has actually struck a chord with many people.
The ad is set during a wedding. In the middle of all the celebrations, Avyaan’s character trips and gets hurt. Around others, he tries to act brave and says he’s fine, hiding the pain.
But things change when he goes to his mother. As she looks at his injury, his emotions slowly come out. He begins to tear up, showing the pain he had been holding back. Even then, he tries to reassure her, which makes the moment even more touching.
It’s a simple scene, but the way he performs it has really stood out.
What makes his performance even more interesting is how he has been learning. His parents shared that he watches films of Shah Rukh Khan at home and picks up on expressions and emotions. Movies like Veer-Zaara have helped him understand how to show feelings on screen.
His parents shared on social media, “All the love for his performance. But the real credit? A little boy, big dreams… and a lot of Shah Rukh Khan.”
Another post added, “Everyone asking how he nailed those emotional scenes…Well, learning from the best – SRK school of acting.”
The family also made a special request online, hoping their son could connect with his idol. They wrote, “Internet, do your magic. Tag SRK in every comment till it reaches him,” and added, “This is not just a reel… It’s a petition. Let’s make this reach SRK.”
Avyaan’s performance has received a lot of appreciation. Shubhaavi Choksey, who played his mother in the ad, said, “He got it right purely because of his high emotional intelligence. He’s a natural, touch wood.”
Fans also shared their reactions, with many praising his performance. Comments included, “Omg I’m in love with your performance. You’ll be superstar one day” and “If my son is not like this, I don’t want him.”
Another user wrote, “I watched this 100 times, touched my heart he nailed it totally he made me cry.”
