'India forces you to...': Man who has travelled 46 countries reveals how India changed his idea of travel
In a video that has quickly gained traction online, a tourist revealed how India changed his idea of travel. The foreigner who has been to 46 countries across the world, opened up about his recent visit to several Indian states.
Geoff Josey, who is popular on Instagram as 'the_globedigger' said his definition of a "successful trip" usually involved seamless logistics and curated comfort. However, after travelling through India, his perspective changed for the better.
In the clip, he shared that India is not the easiest destination and is not always comfortable, but that is what made the journey through the subcontinent worthwhile. "India forces you to slow down, adapt, and see the world differently. And honestly... that's what travel is supposed to do," he wrote in the caption.
He mentioned that India has some of the best street food, world-class beaches, and iconic temples such as the Golden Temple. He also visited the Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, Wagha Border in Punjab, India Gate in New Delhi, Gateway of India in Mumbai and Taj Mahal in Agra. "It's not for everyone, but it's unforgettable," he wrote.
When asked about what scares you the most in India, Josey quipped, "The scammers in Delhi lol."
Another user revealed he travelled around the country for 3 months and visited places such as Cochin, Delhi, Kerala, Munnar, Hampi, Goa, Varanasi, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur and Pushkar. "I would go again in a heartbeat. India you have stolen my heart," they wrote.
"Cannot love this enough...India changes you forever," wrote another user.
"You should come to India 29 times, one visit for each state," added another.
