The charges against Zakrzewski include three felony counts of lewd conduct with a minor under 14, one felony count of oral copulation with a child under ten, and one felony count of child pornography. These crimes were reported to have taken place between January 2014 and May 2019.

Zakrzewski was apprehended at a local airport in May 2019 after a couple filed a complaint alleging inappropriate touching of their child. Subsequent investigations revealed more video evidence and additional victims who disclosed their abuse.

The charges are both grim and true: three felony counts of lewd sexual conduct with a 14-year-old, a felony count of oral copulation with an adolescent, and one count of child pornography.

According to the district attorney, these crimes occurred between January 2014 and May 2019. Zakrzewski was arrested in May 2019 at a local airport after a couple filed a complaint, alleging that he had inappropriately touched their child. The police initiated an investigation, and what unfolded was far more gruesome than initially reported. Investigators discovered additional video records of the abuses, and many victims came forward, sharing their experiences of how Zakrzewski had abused them as well.

Zakrzewski, who referred to himself as the "original sitter buddy" on his website, portrayed himself as a nanny offering services such as big brother relationships, mentorships, vacationing, and overnight babysitting. Despite the severe charges against him, Zakrzewski remained unapologetic, even stating that he "prided" himself on bringing "smiles to the children."

Parents, deceived by Zakrzewski's facade, expressed their shock and disbelief, with one mother lamenting the impact of the trauma on her two-year-old child. The devastating nature of the crimes was underscored by the Orange County District Attorney, Todd Spitzer, who described Zakrzewski as a "monster disguised by smiles and giggles" and accused him of engaging in calculated manipulation to maintain access to the children he victimised.
