Mohammad Sher Khan, an iron craftsman and class-8 dropout from Udaipur, Rajasthan, created the Vishwaguru Chulha by putting things together over 27 years. He first created the stove after watching women toil for hours over separate dishes like baati and dal, burning through excess firewood and fuel. He aimed to slash cooking time, use far less wood, and cut down on smoke.
Sher Khan patented it in 2017 after prototypes were tested in homes and dhabas and has over 10,000 units sold since.

What is special about the stove

Khan claims that this 3-in-1 wonder cooks for 25 people in 30 minutes, handling boil, fry, and bake at once. The top layer bakes rotis, pizza, or bread, the middle portion fries veggies or meat, and the bottom boils dal or soups. What makes it stand out from the others is that it consumes just 2 kg of firewood versus 10 kg traditional, with designs lessing release of smoke.

According to the official website of Vishwaguruchulha, Sher Khan says any dish can be prepared, from Rajasthani staples to global dishes.

The LPG crisis has boosted demand

India's LPG crisis, caused by tanker delays in Hormuz, has increased its demand. Households and eateries are suffering, but Vishwaguru provides an "LPG Ka Zabardast…" alternative, priced at Rs 10,000, it is available for homes, dhabas, and startup usage.
