Pakistan local claims to have seen Ranvir Singh shooting for Dhurandhar in real Lyari
A guy's claims from Pakistan's Lyari area went viral on X, claiming parts of Dhurandhar were secretly filmed right there, not on sets elsewhere.
He explained the crew snuck in super early to dodge crowds, saying in the video, “Lyari ke mazak uda rahe bahar se arahe yahan par bana rahe. Lyari ke andar shoot hua hai. Ye log ratko 4-5 baje atey hain awaam so jaati thi. Ranveer Singh Cheel Chowk pe bhi aya tha. Iss time par ayega toh Lyari wale isko thodi chodenge.”
(They're making fun of Lyari, coming from outside and shooting here. The shoot happened inside Lyari. These people came at 4-5 AM when everyone was asleep. Ranveer Singh even came to Cheel Chowk. If he came during the day, Lyari folks wouldn't spare him).
He added, “Video se pata lag jata hai. Awaam ke kuch buzurgon ne dekha hai. Young ladkon ne nahi dekha hai. Sanjay Dutt ka pata nahi par dusron ka pata hai.” (You can tell from the video. Some elders saw them, but young guys didn't. Not sure about Sanjay Dutt, but others we know).
Internet roasts and reactions
Netizens couldn't hold back their laughter. One user wrote, “At 4 in the morning, Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh, and Sanjay Dutt quietly reached Lyari without anyone noticing, almost like a secret mission from a spy film. And then the shooting also got done, everyone stayed silent, no videos, no selfies, was the whole area in meditation mode or what?"
Another user joked, “We need a separate social media platform for Pakistani news channel videos. We can call it PakTok". Other users added, “A standout brain from Karachi University," and “What a confidence this boy has, amazing. And he hasn’t seen the film being shot. He has heard it from his elders.”
Another comment focused on the innocence of the child in the video, “Whatever it is, the child is very innocent... Brother, they are pure-hearted people; clever individuals and supporters of terrorism take advantage of these innocent people".
Where was the film actually shot?
Dhurandhar wasn't shot in Pakistan at all. Makers recreated Lyari on a massive six-acre set in Bangkok for stunning authenticity, as confirmed by cast interviews. Other important scenes were shot at Amritsar's heritage sites. No evidence supports the claims of Lyari shoots.
