Prime Minister Narendra Modi embraces 'Deepjyoti', welcomes a baby calf at his home
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always been known for his deep affection for animals, which is something many share across India. During the peaceful morning hours, the Prime Minister made a happy announcement on X- a calf had been born to the cow in his house. The calf, bearing a mark of light on its forehead, was aptly named 'Deepjyoti' by Modi. It is a beacon and a symbol of hope.
He posted that he had read, in ancient scriptures, "Gaav: Sarvasukha Prada" Here, the stature of cows is referred to, and how they are connected to prosperity as well as happiness. The Prime Minister, who was genuinely enthusiastic about introducing his newest addition to his family, spoke about the new calf. He shared a video montage that featured tender moments with Deepjyoti, showing his soft side. The footage showed Modi carrying the calf, sitting with it at the home temple, and taking strolls in the garden, all while caressing and kissing the forehead of the calf softly.
Quoting scriptures, Modi wrote, "It is said in our scriptures - 'Gaav: Sarvasukha Prada'. A new member has auspiciously arrived at the Prime Minister's residence premises at Lok Kalyan Marg."At the Prime Minister's residence, the beloved mother cow has given birth to a new calf, on whose forehead there is a mark of light. Hence, I have named it 'Deepjyoti'." Elated over the arrival of the calf, born to the mother cow that he used to feed from his residence, he was amazed by the calf possessing a mark of light on its forehead. It was this very mark that motivated him to name it 'Deepjyoti'.
In another post, he said, "A new member at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg! Deepjyoti is truly adorable." He clicked several photographs capturing his moments with Deepjyoti where he posted himself bonding with the calf.
The video montage on his X handle gives a glimpse into the Prime Minister's interactions with Deepjyoti. Starting from Modi carrying the calf, seated with it at his home temple to taking it out to the garden-all these intimate moments reflect the Prime Minister's deep connection with the new addition to his residence.
The video captures the cute calf named Deepjyoti as it speaks about the importance of this new addition and how much this means to the prime minister. Videos and posts collectively reflected warmth and jubilation that defined a memorable day at the Prime Minister's residence.
In this video montage that he has put out on his X handle, the prime minister is seen carrying the calf at his residence, sitting with it at his temple in the house, and taking it out to the garden.
This is certainly no secret to the public as enough photographs of him feeding the cows, peacocks, and others have been published. Last January, pictures shared by the Prime Minister's Office show the Pongal/Makar Sankranti celebration PM Modi made by feeding fodder to a herd of six cattle.
All six are supposed to be permanent residents at Lok Kalyan Marg and come from the Andhra Pradesh-Punganur breed.
There's another indigenous cow breed in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, namely Punganoor, Vayalapadu, Madanapalli, and Palamaneer. There are special dwarf breeds of those cows known as short-humped cattle in the whole world. These slight cattle are so convenient to keep at home.
