In the three-part Netflix docuseries, Victoria Beckham leaves no stone unturned. From fashion, food, and finance, the former Spice Girl and fashion mogul discusses almost everything about her life.

No topic is off limits, and in fact, she reveals quite much about the financial struggles her fashion label has faced. “I almost lost everything,” Victoria recalls. “That was a dark, dark time. I used to cry before I went to work every day.”

“We were tens of millions in the red,” she recalls in the footage from a 2016 morning television show.

The newspaper headlines from the time depicted in the documentary hint that David had to 'bail out' the fashion brand, after spending nearly £38 million (about $77 million AUD).

“We both sat there, and we looked at what I’d invested, and I think part of that conversation broke my heart because Victoria is a proud woman,” David recalled. "It was hard for both of us … I didn’t have the money. Eventually, I was like, ‘This cannot continue.'"

This reportedly prompted them to bring David Belhassen on board as an investor, and he felt that he had never seen something 'as hard as that to fix'.

In David's words, Victoria was at the top of her career, Spice Girls, when they met. In the documentary, he revealed that she was richer than him. “When we met, she was a lot richer than me. She actually bought our first house in Hertfordshire, known as Beckingham Palace,” he revealed.

Overwhelmed by the love her family showers, she wrote, "I’m so proud of what we’ve built together and to be here with my family tonight.
