A shocking incident from Mount Abu, Rajasthan, has taken the internet by storm after CCTV footage captured a dramatic encounter between a leopard and a pet Labrador. Shared by the Instagram account @mountabu_blog, the video has amassed over four lakh views, sparking widespread reactions.

The footage shows the leopard emerging from a garden and attacking the dog in a chilling struggle. The tense moment takes a surprising turn when the dog’s owner, Mala Kumari, intervenes with screams that scare off the big cat. According to an NDTV report, the incident occurred around 8 AM in the Sunrise Valley apartment complex, a paying guest accommodation in Mount Abu.

The footage begins with the Labrador calmly strolling through a garden when a leopard suddenly emerges from the bushes and pounces. The attack is intense, with the leopard biting the dog’s neck in an attempt to overpower it. Despite the ferocity of the encounter, the Labrador fights back, struggling to free itself.



The situation takes a dramatic turn when Mala Kumari, the property owner, starts screaming. Her cries startle the leopard, causing it to release the dog and retreat. In an extraordinary twist, the injured Labrador briefly chases the leopard before returning to its owner, who quickly brings the dog inside to safety.
