Indian weddings are incomplete without some drama- be it an angry uncle, last-minute trouble with caterers, or a lost jewelry piece. But one wedding went full Bollywood when it came to drama, it had all the elements- love, ex-lover, wedding, and lots of drama. A woman reportedly made a grand entrance at her ex-lover’s wedding, where she kicked the groom on the stage while the bride watched in shock.
A video has been going viral on the internet that begins with a bride and groom standing on the stage waiting to exchange garlands. All seems perfect until the groom moves to put the garland around the bride’s neck. Suddenly a woman- an alleged ex-lover, gets to the stage and gives me a kick which makes him tumble forward. She didn’t stop there, the groom also received some punches while he tried to receive from the initial shock of the kick. This out-of-nowhere event startled the guests and the family members into inaction.
That was not all, as the woman then started an argument with the groom on stage, which pulled the family out of their stupor and intervened. The audio in the clip is muted, however, their dramatic actions make us believe that strong emotions are being conveyed. The video has received more than 3 million views.
The comment section of the post was full of people taking sides, while some were just amused by the incident. One user commented, “This is why we say don’t mix weddings and past relationships. It’s like a Bollywood movie, but live!” Another commented, “The kick was so on point, she must have practiced it! And that argument? Pure entertainment.” A third user said, “Imagine the bride thinking, ‘I didn’t sign up for this drama!” One user took this moment to make a personal observation. However, one user did not take the incident lightly. Assuming that the woman was the groom’s ex-lover, such drama was the result of unresolved emotions. They commented, “This could have been avoided if he had been honest with everyone.” The location of the incident remains unclear.
