Armed with a good script and giving it a lively narration, director MussanjeMahesh has done a neat job of a story about how a head of a middle-class familyin a village fights for the prestige of the family and takes on his sister,brother-in-law and their son in the process. It’s an excellent package ofsentiment, family rift, action and drama with great sequences. But there is aneed to cut the length of the movie by at least 20 minutes to avoid anot-to-the-mark climax which goes on expected lines. The story revolves around Suri (Gururaj Jaggesh) entering the joint family, coming to know that the girl he is in love with Bhoomika (Roopashri) hails from the same family. Another member of the family Chandru (Skanda) is also in love her. He also has another task of uniting his mother (Bhavya) with the family as she had been boycotted for loving a boy and getting married against the wishes of the family. How does he do it?Hats off to Gururaj Jaggesh for hisscintillating performance. Roopashri wins your heart as a ‘PakkadmaneHudugi’ (girl from the neighbourhood). Sakanda makes an impressive debut. But it is Srinivasamurthy who steals the show with a sterling performance. Whilecinematography by Suri is good, music director Sridhar V Sambhram has providedsome excellent numbers.
