Mass entertainer
Story: It’s an entertainer with lot of comedy sequences. Look for Rangayana Raghu in an elderly woman’s role romancing with ‘Ajja’Dattanna. But don’t go deep into the storyline. Just watch and enjoy.
Movie Review: Director Preetham Gubbi has done neat work of a screenplay which doesn’t have a serious storyline, but is full of funny sequences that keep you entertained throughout. With quick paced narration combined with catchy dialogues by N S Shankar, the director has taken care to see that the story doesn’t lag anywhere. It has a climax that goes on expected lines.
The story takes place at Gandhi Colony where Johnny (Vijay) runs a Johnny Service
Centre along with colony friend Maamoo (Rangayana Raghu). He is always in the forefront to solve problems of colony residents. He falls in love with Priya (Ramya), who comes to the colony from abroad to stay with her grandpa (Dattanna). As Priya loves Indian food, Maamoo (Rangayana Raghu) dons the role of Johnny’s aunt to prepare food for her.We also have Priya’s father (Achyuth Kumar) bringing her a groom - Pritam (Sharan) - from abroad. The story takes a dramatic turn when Johnny finds that Priya is
in love with Rakesh. The rest is for you to watch and laugh.
Hats off to Vijay for his excellent performance. Ramya impresses you as the sweet
‘Pakkadmane Hudugi’(neighbourhood girl). Rangayana Raghu is marvellous as an ‘aunt’. Sharan, Dattanna and Achyuth Kumar have done justice to their roles. Camera work by Krishna and music by V Harikrishna have boosted the screenplay.
