DK Movie Review {3/5}: Critic Review of DK by Times of India

* A perfect mix of romance, item number by Sunny Leone, fight and politics sprinkled adequately with humour---DK has all the ingredients for a thorough entertainer. The quintessential hero finds an innovative way to take on the villain. He marries the enemy’s daughter and makes her contest election against him. The story is set in a rural background. DK (Prem) hates the arrogant MP Shive Gowda (Sharath Lohithashwa) and his family. With a hidden agenda, he marries Subbalakshmi (Chaithra), the daughter of the MP. The plot thickens when elections are declared. DK fields Subbalakshmi against Shive Gowda. And she emerges victorious by two votes. There is lack of logic and some plot holes, but director Vijay Hampali manages to keep the viewers hooked throughout the movie. DK is mass masala flick which promises value for your money.Prem’s superlative performance is the highlight. Chaithra impresses with her unique style. Sunny Leone’s item number does not make much impact. Sharath Lohithashwa’s performance is commendable. Music by Arjun Janya is okay. Cameraman Anand Dindwar has captured the rural landscape with perfection.
