The Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opening partnership is reaping rich dividends for Team India. On Tuesday, the duo brought up a double hundred stand for first wicket inside 25 overs.
Rohit and Shubman are both in good touch and have really taken the attack to the New Zealand bowlers, after the Kiwis decided to bowl first after Tom Latham won the toss.
Gill has brought up yet another ODI century and is averaging around 100 in ODIs this year.
The century was long awaited for Rohit Sharma but the Indian skipper doesn't seem to be perturbed as he predicted the 'big one is just around the corner' ahead of the third ODI against New Zealand.
Rohit on Tuesday walked the talk by ending century drought in the one-day internationals with his scintillating hundred against the Kiwis in Indore. The 35-year-old Rohit slammed 83-ball hundred which is his first in ODIs since January 2020 and second against New Zealand as well.
Meanwhile, upset with the quality of the pitch on offer, fans slammed its flat nature via memes and jokes on social media.
