The festival, hosted at Prof Showkat Ali Indoor Stadium, highlighted Kashmir’s traditions through music, calligraphy, and cultural performances. The main attraction was the Rouf dance, performed collectively by the participants.

“We have been rehearsing for almost a month. Now we feel all the effort was worth it. This is a great achievement, and we are proud to be part of the world record,” said one participant.

The event, supported by Minga Sherpa, Deputy Commissioner of Baramulla, and various officials, saw the presence of Lt. Gen. Rajiv Ghai, Maj. Gen. Rajesh Sethi, and Brigadier Rajat Bhatt. The Universal Records Forum (URF) verified the record.

Local professor remarked, “Kashmiri culture is diverse, but today's youth show declining interest. This initiative has revived our traditions.”
