Anthiyur election results 2026: AIADMK's Haribaskar P wins by a margin of 1,260 votes

The Anthiyur assembly elections saw AIADMK's Haribaskar P competing against DMK's Sivabalan M, and the former emerged victorious with 60,042 votes. The AIADMK candidate defeated the DMK's contender by a margin of 1,260 votes.

Earlier, in the 2011 Assembly elections, Anthiyur had 1,73,681 electors, with 1,42,922 valid votes recorded. AIADMK candidate S S Ramanitharan won the seat with 78,496 votes, defeating DMK candidate N K K P Raaja, who secured 53,242 votes. The winning margin of 25,254 votes reflected strong support for the AIADMK during that election cycle.

The results across these two elections indicate a period of AIADMK dominance in the constituency, although the narrower margin in 2016 suggests that Anthiyur remains politically competitive within the broader AIADMK–DMK rivalry in western Tamil Nadu.
