Barabanki election results 2024 live updates: Congress's Tanuj Punia wins with over 2 lakh vote margin

NEW DELHI: The Barabanki Lok Sabha constituency, one of the 80 in Uttar Pradesh, held its polling on May 20th during the fifth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The voter turnout was reported at 67.20%. The main contenders in this election are Rajrani Rawat from the Bharatiya Janata Party and Tanuj Punia representing the Congress party.

It is a reserved seat for Scheduled Caste candidates. The Barabanki constituency saw Upendra Singh Rawat of the BJP secure victory in the 2019 Parliamentary elections. He garnered 46.39% of the total votes, defeating Samajwadi Party's Ram Sagar Rawat by a 9.54% margin. The voter turnout in the constituency stood at 63.61%, surpassing the state average of 59.21%.

Congress' Tanuj Punia has won the seat with 719927 vote margin against BJP's Rajrani Rawat.
