NEW DELHI: Making a special mention of women as consistent supporters of BJP, PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday appealed to voters in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to vote for BJP to help it continue its development-centric agenda.
Campaign for polling in Madhya Pradesh and second phase of voting in Chhattisgarh ended on Wednesday evening. The polling is scheduled for November 17.
In his posts on X, Modi assured voters that BJP is sworn to fulfil all its pledges. "Congress is set for a rout in the elections. People are believing the good governance of BJP and not the hollow promises of Congress. I want to assure the people of Chhattisgarh that the coming BJP government in the state will be a dispensation of their aspirations and the state's prosperity," he said.
People have this unbreakable faith that only BJP can make Madhya Pradesh a developed state belonging to the 21st century, he said in the message to voters of the state. The people of Madhya Pradesh have seen the benefits of double-engine government and appreciate its requirement, Modi said.
Ahead of polling, both BJP and Congress have claimed to be in pole position. Congress is in office in Chhattisgarh and BJP in Madhya Pradesh.
The new generation is aligning its next 25 years with that of the country to make it a developed nation by 2047, he said.
Modi described his experience during the campaign in Chhattisgarh as "wonderful and unprecedented". The people of the state are full of new expectations and energy to make it better and know that only BJP can pull the state out of misgovernance, he said.
