Bolangir Constituency of Odisha Lok Sabha Election 2024: Date of Voting, Result, Candidates List, Main Parties, Schedule

NEW DELHI: Bolangir Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 21 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Odisha state. It comprises of entire Balangir district and the entire Subarnapur district .

The constituency is reserved under the ST category and consist of seven assembly seats which are Birmaharajpur (SC), Sonepur, Loisingha (SC), Patnagarh, Bolangir, Titlagarh, Kantabanji. The literacy rate of the constituency is 58.83%.

In 2019, BJP candidate Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo won the 2019 General Election with a victory margin of 19,516 votes, securing 4,98,086 votes. Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo defeated Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo of the BJD, who got 4,78,570 votes. The constituency witnessed a significant voter turnout of 74.38% in 2019.

The date of voting for the Bolangir constituency of Odisha is May 20 (Phase 5) and the result will be announced on June 04.

BJP has fielded Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo for the upcoming elections from this seat while Congress has fielded Manoj Mishra. BJD has given ticket to Surendra Singh Bhoi from this constituency.
