Cop ‘suicide’ in Jammu police station

JAMMU: A constable was found dead with a bullet injury at Jammu city’s Nowabad police station late Saturday night in a case of suspected suicide.

The deceased, lqbal Hussain, was from J&K's Poonch district.

“Prima facie, it appears that he used his service weapon to shoot himself. The motive behind him taking such an extreme step is not known immediately,” a cop said.

A probe is underway.
