In the 2019 Sikkim Legislative Assembly elections, Mingma Narbu Sherpa of the SKM emerged victorious with 6,219 votes, capturing 49.08% of the total votes. Pem Norbu Sherpa of the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) secured 5,883 votes, constituting 46.43% of the votes. Similarly, in the 2014 elections, Danorbu Sherpa of the SDF clinched victory with 6,250 votes, accounting for 54.89% of the total votes, while Mingma Narbu Sherpa of the SKM secured 4,646 votes, capturing 40.80% of the votes.
The electoral landscape of Daramdin witnessed the assembly elections coinciding with the Lok Sabha elections on April 19th, with an impressive voter turnout of 80%.
