PM Modi, who held bilateral talks with Albanese on his Australian visit, said the Australian PM assured that he will take strict actions against such elements.

"PM Anthony Albanese and I have in the past discussed the issue of attack on temples in Australia and activities of separatist elements. We discussed the matter today also. It is not acceptable to us that anyone hurt the friendly and cordial ties between India and Australia by their actions or ideology. PM Albanese assured me once again today that he will take strict actions against such elements in the future also," the Prime Minister said.

PM Modi thanked Albanese for taking action against those involved in such incidents in the past.

Ahead of the talks, PM Modi was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour at the Admiralty House in Sydney.

The Prime Minister addressed the Indian diaspora in Sydney on Tuesday at the Qudos Arena where he was accorded a rousing welcome by thousands of Indians across Australia. At the grand event, Albanese described PM Modi as 'the boss'.
