Earthquake tremors felt near Kargil, Rohtak and Meghalaya's Tura

NEW DELHI: Mild tremors near three locations across India, namely Haryana's Rohtak, Tura in Meghalaya and

Kargil

in Jammu and Kashmir, were felt on Friday.

An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 hit 200 km north-west of Kargil, Ladakh, said National Center for Seismology.

Earthquake of 2.8 magnitude hits Haryana's Rohtak

An earthquake of magnitude 2.8 struck near the Rohtak area of Haryana on Friday.

According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremors were felt in the area at 3:32 p.m. on Friday.


3.3 magnitude quake hits Meghalaya

An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 hit 79 km west of Tura in Meghalaya on Friday, according to the National Centre for Seismology.

On Thursday, an earthquake of magnitude 2.8 on the Richter scale occurred at 63 km northeast of Dharmanagar in

Tripura

while 4.5 magnitude quake struck south of Champhai in Mizoram.
