In Edappadi, Edappadi Palaniswami K of AIADMK secured a landslide victory, polling 1,48,933 votes and defeating Independent candidate Premkumar K by a margin of 98,110 votes. DMK’s Kasi C finished third with 44,011 votes, as the constituency delivered an emphatic mandate in favour of AIADMK.

Edappadi falls under the Salem Lok Sabha segment. The Assembly result from this constituency will add to the broader regional picture emerging from the Salem area as counting advances.
