From Brazilian model to Saddam Hussain — What Rahul Gandhi alleged in 'H-files' presser: 10 key points
NEW DELHI: Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday accused the Election Commission and Bharatiya Janata Party of hatching a conspiracy to convert Congress' landslide victory in Haryana into a loss.
A day ahead of the first phase of Bihar assembly elections, Rahul addressed a much awaited press conference, backing his vote theft charge. He said that his team has "100 per cent" proof that around 25 lakh voters in Haryana are either duplicate, non-existent or manipulated.
"We have the word 'H' Files and this is about how an entire state has been stolen. We suspected that this is not happening in individual constituencies, but at the state level and at the national level," Rahul said.
"We got a lot of complaints in Haryana, from our candidates, that something was wrong and not working. Their predictions all went upside down. We had experienced this in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra but we decided to zoom into Haryana and go into details about what had happened there," he added.

What Rahul Gandhi alleged
- The Congress leader shared a breakup for the unaccounted votes and claimed that "vote chori" happened in Haryana assembly elections to the tune of 25 lakhs under 5 categories -- Duplicate voters, invalid addresses, bulk voters, and others.
- Rahul claimed that "for the first time in history of Haryana was the postal votes were different from actual votes."
- He alleged that a lady, who turned out to be a Brazilian model, voted 22 times at 10 different booths with different names in the Haryana assembly elections. "Who is this lady? What is her name? Where does she come from? But she votes 22 times in Haryana, at 10 different booths, and has multiple names: Seema, Sweety, Saraswati, Rashmi, Vimla... But turns out she is actually a Brazilian model," Rahul said.
- Slamming the poll body, Rahul claimed that the Election Commission has a software capable of detecting duplicate voter entries but has failed to use it effectively. “We asked the ECI to run the software and identify voters with the same name and address, but they refused. The reason is clear — they are helping the BJP,” he said.
- The Congress leader also claimed that thousands of people associated with the BJP voted both in UP and Haryana both. “The Election Commission does not want free and fair polls. This is clear proof of what the BJP is doing. Thousands of BJP workers are voting both in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana,” he said.
- The LoP in Lok Sabha also rubbished Election Commission's explanation on Voter IDs having house number zero in address. “The Election Commission claims that those marked under house number zero are homeless people. However, when we verified on the ground, we found that many of these individuals were actually residing in their homes. This is not a mistake, nor is it about homeless citizens — the CEC is lying to the people of India.”
- Rahul also played out a video of now Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, who two days before counting, stated that the BJP would win and "we have a system in place". "We suspected, once we did Mahadevapura and Aland, that this is not happening in just one constituency but this is being done at the state and national level," Gandhi said.
- During the press conference, Rahul also said that over 3.5 lakh voters were deleted from the voter list. He shared a video of Saddam Hussain, a resident of Haryana's Malikpur village who said that he and his wife's name was deleted from the voter list.
- Rahul also said that the postal votes were different from the actual votes in the Haryana assembly elections.
- He also invited some of the voters allegedly from Bihar who claimed that their names have been deleted from the voter list. They claimed that when they asked to register their names again, they were denied.

If Rahul has so foolproof evidence why he is not approaching court. May be, as usual he is making wild allegation to make people confused. If he is right the matter is serious orthewise he must be procecuted for his wilful allegaton sgainst EC.Read allPost comment
