On January 18, wrestlers initiated a protest at Jantar Mantar, alleging sexual exploitation and intimidation by WFI chief Brij Bhushan Singh Sharan, demanding his resignation and the federation's dissolution. On May 28, wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, and Bajrang Punia, among others, faced charges for rioting and obstructing public servants during a march toward the newly inaugurated Parliament by PM Narendra Modi.

Same-sex marriage remains a call for future

​Silkyara miracle: Workers successfully rescued after 17 days

On November 12, 2023, a portion of the under-construction Silkyara Bend–Barkot tunnel, intended to link National Highway 134 in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, collapsed. Breaking barriers: Parliament passes Women's reservation bill

"A defining moment in our nation's democratic journey," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on September 22 as Rajya Sabha passed the historic women's reservation bill with 214 MPs voting in favour and none against. The 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam' became the first bill to be passed by Parliament after it shifted to the new building on Tuesday.
