Yadav secured a total of 521,128 votes, which was enough to secure his victory and become the Member of Parliament from Jaunpur. Krishna Pratap Singh K P, the candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party, came in second place. He received a total of 440,192 votes, falling short of Yadav's count by 80,936 votes.
