Karmapa heads off to Bodh Gaya

The Karmapa would be visiting Vajra Vidya Institute in Sarnath from March 9 to 12 to hold connection with spring teachings. The Karmapa's office stated that it was a routine visit.

DHARAMSALA: The 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje and head of the Kagyu sect would be away from Dharamsala as he left for Bodh Gaya on Thursday even though investigations into the monastery case underway were at very critical stage. Later, the Karmapa would be visiting Sarnath (Varanasi).
The Karmapa would be visiting Vajra Vidya Institute in Sarnath from March 9 to 12 to hold connection with spring teachings.

The central government had been very cautious and restrictive in granting permission to the Karmapa for undertaking visit within India and abroad.
