Kota election results 2024 live updates: BJP's Om Birla wins with over 7.5 lakh votes

NEW DELHI: The Kota constituency has witnessed a dynamic political landscape, with both the BJP and Congress securing victories in the past. The voting for this constituency was conducted during the second phase of the Lok Sabha 2024 elections on April 26, encompassing 8 legislative assemblies.

The Lok Sabha Election 2024 recorded a voter turnout of 71.26%.

The key candidates contesting from Kota in this election are Om Birla from the Bhartiya Janta Party and Prahlad Gunjan from the Indian National Congress.

BJP's Om Birla won in Kota Lok Sabha constituency with a margin of 41,974 votes against Congress's Prahlad Gunjal.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which saw a voter turnout of 69.8%, Om Birla of the BJP emerged victorious with 7,96,071 votes. Ramnarain Meena of the INC and BSP Harish Kumar Lahri secured the second and third positions, respectively. The margin of victory for Om Birla was 2,78,512 votes, underscoring the BJP's robust presence in the constituency.

The 2014 Loksabha elections also witnessed Om Birla's victory, representing the BJP, with 6,41,365 votes. Ijyaraj Singh of the INC party was the runner-up. The margin of victory in this election was 1,98,873 votes.
