The parents of Amol Shinde — the 22-year-old youth from Maharashtra’s Latur, who was arrested along with his accomplices in New Delhi for committing a security breach at Parliament — threatened to die by suicide on December 16, if they were not given the chance to speak with their son.
“Our son dreamt of getting recruited into the army and police. He participated in army and police recruitment drives at various places. He tried six times but failed. Whatever he did was out of frustration resulting from unemployment. We should be allowed to speak with our son, or else we will die by suicide," Amol's father, Dhanraj, told mediapersons.
