NEW DELHI: Google on Sunday celebrated Mother's Day 2023 with a doodle to celebrate motherhood and honour all moms.

The doodle by Celine You depicts some animal family throwback pics with mom over the years. The artwork is all about the selfless love, care and support that a mother offers to her children throughout their lives.

Google also shared the behind-the-scenes process for the occasion's hand-crafted clay artwork by the doodler.

In the past too, Google celebrated Mother's Day with its doodles to celebrate the love and affection of a mother and pay heartfelt tribute to them. Google celebrates important and historic occasions with its interesting doodles.

Mother's Day is celebrated across the globe on the second Sunday of May every year to offer gratitude and shower love upon all mothers.

The occasion was first celebrated in 1907, when Anna Jarvis held the first Mother's Day service of worship at a church in West Virginia. She founded Mother's Day as a mark of respect to her mother Ann Reeves Jarvis, a peace activist.
