Son on one side and two sisters on the other, the family feud is back in the news with a Bombay high court order saying last month the case must be heard afresh
A Bombay high court judgment last month revived a long-drawn -out and ugly family battle for partition of assets worth over Rs 15,000 crore belonging to construction magnate late Gopal L Raheja.
While a single-judge bench of the Bombay high court in September 2015 had dismissed Raheja’s daughter Sabita’s suit seeking a 25% stake in the family’s assets and an injunction against all the individuals and companies mentioned by her from transferring or disposing any assets/shares, a division bench on April 18 this year ruled that the case be heard afresh.
