Gifts for Ghana's first couple

India presented two handcrafted treasures to Ghana's president and first lady. A pair of Bidriware vases from Karnataka to the President and a Silver Filigree Work Purse from Odisha to his spouse. Handcrafted by skilled artisans, the gifts showcase India’s centuries-old metal crafts. The vases feature floral engravings on a zinc-copper alloy with a black oxidised finish, while the purse reflects Odisha’s 500-year-old Tarakasi tradition of intricate silver filigree.

Indian heritage in gifts for VP and speaker

Ghana’s Vice President received a luxurious Kashmiri Pashmina Shawl, handwoven from fine Changthangi goat wool and adorned with traditional embroidery, while the speaker was gifted a miniature Elephant Ambawari from West Bengal, a finely carved decorative piece symbolising India’s royal heritage and ethical craftsmanship.
