PM Modi lays foundation stone of Kalki Dham temple in UP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Kalki Dham in Sambhal on Monday. He said that what was once "beyond imagination, has now become reality." He further said, "This is a wonderful moment of cultural Renaissance where we have witnessed the grand opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, another temple in Abu Dhabi, renovation of the Kashi Vishwanath temple and the transformation of Kashi." Shri Kalki Dham temple honors the tenth avatat of Lord Vishnu, Lord Kalki. It holds a special significance as the first 'Dham' where a temple was built before the God’s incarnation. Each of its ten sanctums symbolizes one of Lord Vishnu's ten incarnations. (Image: ANI)

The temple will be constructed on five acres of land from the same pink-hued stone used in Ram Mandir and Somnath Temple. The construction will be completed in five years. (Image: ANI)

The temple's eye catching ‘shikhara’ will soar to a height of 108 feet with its platform elevated 11 feet above ground level. It will also host a total of 68 pilgrimage sites. The important thing to keep in mind is no steel or iron frames will be used in its construction. (Image: ANI)
