Pramod Kumar is new chairman of Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank

GUNTUR: Senior banker K. Pramod Kumar Reddy has assumed the role of chairman of Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank (CGGB) here on Friday. CGGB, managed by Union Bank of India (UBI), is operating in Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema, Kakinada, Eluru and Godavari districts with its head office at Guntur.

Pramod Kumar has been working as general manager at Union Bank of India's Mumbai head office before being elevated and shifted as chairman of CGGB. His appointment as chairman of the Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank is scheduled for a five-year term. Meanwhile, the incumbent chairman T. Kameswara Rao, who served as chairman of the bank since August 2019, has been promoted to the rank of general manager and transferred to the Agri-Business Division (ABD) at Union Bank of India's head office. Kameswara Rao handed over his responsibilities to the new chairman Pramod Kumar Reddy at a simple ceremony held in the bank in the presence of the senior officials.
