The Congress had announced a subsidy of Rs 500 for gas cylinder refills and other election promises, but they remain unfulfilled. Priyanka Gandhi repeated this promise in an election rally at Khairagarh on Monday, he said.

Singh pointed out that while the Congress made grand promises, the BJP government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, delivered on its commitments through initiatives like the Ujjwala Yojana, which provided gas cylinders to the poor.

The former chief minister criticized the Congress for Priyanka’s promise of a loan waiver for women self-help groups. He accused the Congress government of exploiting these groups by taking away their work and giving it to private contractors, adversely affecting their livelihoods.

The safety of women in the state has also become a pressing concern, with incidents like the rape of a minor near the Raipur ASP office. Despite these issues, Priyanka Gandhi, a Congress leader, is seeking votes from women in Chhattisgarh, he said.

Regarding the Congress's announcement of establishing 700 new rural industrial parks in the coming years, the BJP leader noted the party's history of making ambitious promises and failing to deliver. He cited Rahul Gandhi's earlier promise to establish 200 food parks, of which only two have been built so far.

Congress general secretatry Priyanka Gandhi has made another promise to upgrade 700 government schools in Chhattisgarh to Swami Atmanand English and Hindi medium schools, Raman Singh said, adding that the Congress government did not prioritize education in the state and instead hindered its progress, causing Chhattisgarh's education sector to lag behind even the centrally administered states. In contrast, he highlighted the BJP's achievements in constructing over 40,000 schools and establishing prestigious educational institutions like NIT, IIT, IIM, IIIT, HNLU, and AIIMS, transforming Chhattisgarh into an educational hub.

The senior BJP leader said that the people of Chhattisgarh have lost trust in Bhupesh Baghel's Congress government due to corruption and broken promises.
