Gopichand Hinduja and his family have once again secured the top spot on the Sunday Times Rich List, with a net worth of £37.2 billion, up from £35 billion the previous year.



Gopi, along with his brother Srichand out of the four, managed the UK interests of the family's global business empire, the Hinduja Group. He serves as the executive chairman of ArcelorMittal, the world's second-largest steelmaking conglomerate and also presides as chairman of Aperam, a prominent stainless steel manufacturer.

Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty ranked 245th

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty, have climbed the ranks in the prestigious 'Sunday Times Rich List' for 2024, propelled by Murty's lucrative shareholding in Infosys.

Ranked 245th with an estimated wealth of £651 million, the couple has seen a significant rise from their position last year, owing largely to Murty's considerable earnings from Infosys dividends.

King Charles stands at 258th in the list

According to the Sunday Times 2024 Rich List, which was published on Friday, May 17, King Charles III possesses a personal fortune amounting to $770 million. This figure surpasses the late Queen Elizabeth II's net worth by approximately $270 million at the time of her passing.

Reports indicate that in 2022, Queen Elizabeth's personal wealth was estimated to be around $500 million.
