has allowed RSS to grow in leaps and bounds. In 2015-16 alone, it added 5,524 shakhas, the highest in any single year. The organization claims to be present in 95% of total districts in the country with 91% of people enrolled aged below 40 years.

In 2012, RSS was running 40,922 shakhas which increased to 51,335 in 2015. In four years, it witnessed jump of 25%. However, from 2015 to 2016, there was an increase of 10% and currently it runs 56,859 shakhas.

RSS claims that it has a presence in 820 districts out of total 840 in the country which amounts to be 95%. It added that out of 2,594 towns, it has a reach in 2,406 centres.

Presenting the comparative study, Krishna Gopal, Sah-Sar Karyawah of the RSS said, "Due to the efforts of our volunteers, our area of functioning has increased. Our volunteers went among the people and explained our work."

Able to attract young people in its fold, RSS said that 91% of its shakhas are attendee by people below age of 40 years. Among them, 65.6% constitutes of only students. In 25.3% shakhas, the participants are young entrepreneurs, professionals.
