The Telangana unit of CPI(M) has decided to contest 17 seats independently in the upcoming November 30 polls after failing to reach a seat sharing agreement with the Congress. In constituencies where BJP has a chance of winning, the CPI(M) will urge people to vote for the stronger principal contender, either Congress or BRS.
