Saurabh Raj Jain acquired instant fame by becoming the new Krishna of the new Mahabharat made in 2013. The well qualified Delhi boy graduated from the Indraprastha University and did his MBA from Symbiosis, Pune. Saurabh is a passionate footballer and has starred in several popular TV shows including Remix, Kasamh Se, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Parichay, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and Uttaran. The reel Krishna also played a prominent role in the film Karma: Crime. Passion. Reincarnation.

Dhriti Bhatia, the lovely Krishna who won millions of hearts on the TV show Jai Shri Krishna at just the age of two, is actually a girl. Dhriti became a star overnight and has a fan following in millions. After playing a boy in her acting debut, the charming Dhriti then went on to play the little Goddess Durga in Mata Ki Chowki on Sahara One. Riding high on the success ladder with the help of her father Gagan Bhatia, Dhriti stepped out of her mythological identity by taking up the role of Bubbly in TV show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.

Swapnil Joshi has featured in several TV shows including Campus, Hudd Kar Di, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand and Ghar Ki Baat Hai besides many Marathi shows but his fans still remember him for his portrayal of Lord Krishna in Ramanand Sagar’s Krishna. Not to forget, he shot to fame at the age of nine as Kusha in tele series Uttar Ramayana. Married to a dentist, Swapnil also made a successful stint in the world of stand-up comedy with Comedy Circus. A qualified lawyer in real life, he also hosted a few shows including Ladies Special.

Sarvadaman D. Banerjee will always be worshiped as the Lord Krishna of Ramanand Sagar’s magnum opus Krishna two decades ago. Besides becoming Krishna, Banerjee also played the title roles in films like Adi Shankaracharya (1983) which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film and Swami Vivekananda. Born and brought up in Uttar Pradesh, Banerjee graduated from Pune Film Institute. He has worked in several Hindi, Sanskrit and Telugu movies besides the popular TV show Om Namah Shivay. Coming closer to his reel identity, Banerjee now teaches meditation in Rishikesh.

The dusky Krishna of the epic B.R. Chopra’s Mahabharat, Nitish Bharadwaj is still revered as the almighty even 25 years after the making of the show. Less do the people know that he is not just a reel God but also a qualified veterinary surgeon. Post playing a God on screen, Nitish forayed into politics by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party and was a Lok Sabha member from Jamshedpur. He is a big name in Marathi cinema and made his directorial debut with his highly acclaimed film Pituroon which went on to win several awards. Nitish is the father of two kids who live with his ex-wife while he is currently married to an IAS officer.

Meghan Jadhav became popular as Lord Krishna on TV show Shree Krishna and is now increasingly seen in popular sitcoms. After gaining fame as Krishna, Meghan was offered the role of Buddha’s younger brother Nandan in B.K.Modi’s mythological show Buddha. The young actor was then seen in historical crime series Raaz Pichle Janam Ka in Peshwa dynasty’s Anandibai chapter. The actor was easily accepted in a non-mythological role in hit show Saas Bina Sasural and was then seen in Life OK’s Shapath and Zing’s Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.
