The former pocketed six titles: 1981-85 & 1988; while the latter emerged victorious eight times: 1987, 1989-90, 1992-96 .
In addition, the terrific duo won 16 combined British Open titles which were all in succession: Jahangir winning ten times from 1982 to 1991 and then Jansher taking over the mantle from 1992 to 1997.

The Jahangir-Jansher rivalry resulted in 37 meetings in tournament play with the scoreline closely placed at 18-19 .
From April 1981, when Geoff Hunt beat him in the final of the British Open, to November 1986, when he lost to Ross Norman in the World Championship final, Jahangir was unbeaten in more than 500 matches - a world record which is unlikely to be equalled, leave alone surpassing it.
On the other hand, Jansher won a total of 99 professional titles and was ranked the World No 1 for over six years.
