Unleash the shine!

We have all tried and tested a variety of shampoos until now. Where some promise to eradicate your hair fall and dandruff issues, some support nourishment and shine. But have you ever thought about creating your own shampoo using only natural ingredients, which can help you with all your hair tantrums? No silicone and paraben-free shampoos can easily be tried and tested at home. Let’s discuss 5 such DIY shampoo recipes for strong, long, and shiny locks.

Basic shampoo goes long

This shampoo recipe is great for a normal scalp and addresses issues of basic cleanliness. You simply need ¼ cup of distilled water, liquid Castile soap, ½ teaspoon of jojoba or grapeseed oil, and a cap bottle. Mix all the ingredients together and store them in a bottle. Shake before use. This mixture will not be as thick as commercial shampoos, but you just need to tilt the bottle over your head to get it out, and you’ll surely be left impressed.

Moisturise your scalp

This shampoo is best for a dry-haired scalp. You just need ¼ cup distilled water, liquid castile soap, aloe vera gel, avocado oil, 1 teaspoon of glycerin, and a flip-top bottle. Blend all ingredients together and shake well before using. Apply this to your hair strands and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Rinse it well with cool water and see the results.

For that extra shine

Filled with natural fragrance, try this shampoo recipe and add a natural shine to your mane. You just require ¼ distilled water, liquid Castile soap in lemon fragrance, 2 tablespoons dried rosemary, sweet almond oil, ¼ teaspoon lemon essential oil, and flip-cap bottles. Boil your distilled water, add rosemary, and steep until fragrant. Strain the leaves and let them cool down. Mix all ingredients and add to water, stirring well. Store it in a bottle and use it as any other shampoo.

Bidding adieu to dandruff

The dandruff issue affects nearly every age group. It is not caused by dry scalp but is actually released by increased oil production, hormonal fluctuations, stress, and illness. To banish a flaky scalp, collect ¼ cup distilled water, liquid Castile soap, jojoba and grapeseed oil, apple cider vinegar, apple juice, ground cloves, and flip-flap bottles. In a small grinder, mix all ingredients on low for 30 seconds and apply it to wet hair with warm water. Rinse it well and discard it after 3 days.

Provide a soothing sense.

Chamomile makes this shampoo a calming treat, as its natural lightening properties with lemon juice can lighten your hair. You will just need 1 cup of distilled water, castile soap in lavender flavour, 6 chamomile tea bags, ½ tablespoon of glycerin, and flip-flap bottles. Steep the tea bags in 1 cup of boiled water for 20 minutes and remove the tea bags. Add castile soap to the tea and stir in some glycerin until it is well blended. Try this and keep the rest in a dark and cool place.
